Delete your Reverb account

This page is for Reverb, the music app by Tate Hedemann. Deleting your account removes it and everything attached to it, straight away. It can't be undone.

Three ways to do it

In the iPhone app. Open Settings ▸ Account & privacy ▸ Delete my account, and confirm.
On the web, in any browser — no app needed. Go to reverb2-api.fly.dev/settings, sign in with your phone number, choose Delete account at the bottom, and confirm.
By email, if you can't sign in. Write to support@reverbmusic.app with your handle. We'll confirm the request comes from the account's owner before we delete anything, then do it and tell you when it's done.

What's deleted

Immediately, and for good:

your profile — name, handle, bio and photo
your posts, comments, likes and saves
every song you sent and every song sent to you
your follows, followers and blocks
playlists you made in Reverb
your connections to Spotify and Apple Music, and the keys Reverb held for them
your sign-ins and notification settings on every device
if you used Sign in with Apple, Reverb's access to your Apple ID is revoked

What's kept, and for how long

Reports. A report you made, or one made about something you posted, is kept so repeat abuse stays visible — with your account no longer named on it.
Backups. Deleted data can remain in database backups until they roll off, within 30 days.
Logs. Server logs, kept short-term for fixing problems, and the records our text-message provider keeps of messages it delivered.
Texts already delivered. A song you texted to someone stays on their phone. We can't recall a message once it's sent.
Your own music library. Playlists and songs in your Spotify or Apple Music library are yours. Reverb doesn't touch them.

Deleting some things, but keeping the account

You don't have to delete the account to remove something. In the app you can delete any post, remove your photo, disconnect Spotify or Apple Music, and unfollow or block anyone. The Privacy Policy lists everything we hold and how to change it.
